Isaiah 1:2 -- Parent and child relationships

Isaiah 1:2 God has raised us up like children, so have we rebelled against Him?  When John the Baptist was called to prepare the way for Jesus the Messiah, he was told to concentrate on the reconciliation of parent children relationships .  Could it be that he was told this in order for us to understand our relationship with God. Lord Jesus, I think of all the parents and children that are estranged from each other.  Would You begin to bring healing here.  Especially in our country, our province/state, our city, our church.  We need You Lord.  Help us to pray well. In Your might name.  Amen

Isaiah 1:1

This chapter is about what Isaiah saw over a period of time in Jerusalem and extended throughout Judah.  In Canada it would be equivalent to saying Ottawa and Canada.  Maybe referring to the politics and religion over a course of different leaders.  It's interesting to think, is it the leaders or the people that form the group mindset?  How does God and satan play into the group mindset?  As we enter this journey together, remembering Isaiah was dealing with the group mindset of his time let us look for what his words can mean to us today.

The history of the book of Isaiah

The Isaiah Scroll Something is important about the book of Isaiah because God has allowed it to be preserved for so long!  It was one of the scrolls found at the Dead Sea.  Just when folks are ready to give up on the historical accuracy of the scriptures something else is found to prove them true! Lord Jesus, as we study Your word, teach us how it applies to us today.  In Your mighty name. Amen
